Kalibre 44 – Plus i Minus

Monday, December 8th, 2008

Kaliber 44 is a Polish hip hop band formed at the end of 1993 in Katowice by Piotr Łuszcz (“Magik”), Marcin Marten (“Dab”) and Michał Marten (“Joka”). The group is dubbed most influential Polish hip hop group, while their so-called Hardcore Psycho Rap style is most prominent. The name of the group came from a gun, but later members agreed that it should be explained another way: the first part of name comes from the calibre of problems the group spoke about and the number 44 is a reference to Dziady written by Adam Mickiewicz.
